Frequently Asked Questions about Insurance & Finances

+ Do you take Insurance?

We are in-network for BCBS PPO and BlueChoice PPO insurance plans. If you have one of these plans, please call your insurance company to verify that your mental health benefits are handled by BCBS (some plans have mental health benefits that are covered by a third-party provider that we are not in-network with) and to confirm your deductible, copay, and/or coinsurance for psychotherapy.

+ What if I have an insurance other than BCBS PPO or BlueChoice PPO?

A lot of insurance plans will offer at least partial reimbursement for fees. For clients who are submitting to an out of network plan, we are required to charge the full fee of $215 for an intake (CPT code 90791) and $200 for sessions going forward (CPT code 90837). I am happy to provide a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement after payment. I recommend giving your insurance a call before the first session and asking specifically about their reimbursement rate for those two CPT codes with the language of "how much out of $200 will you cover?"

+ How much does therapy at Practical Audacity Cost?

Our Out-of-Pocket fee is $215 for an intake and $200/sessions going forward for both individuals and couples. Group Therapy is $50/session.

+ Do you have a sliding scale?

We have some limited reduced fee spots available for $125-150, depending on need. Please indicate in the Intake Assessment form (sent upon booking an appointment) if you will need to utilize our reduced fee option. Please note that this reduced fee is intended to lower the cost for folks in financial need.
