* Welcome *
You find it hard to navigate life living as the authentic you. You feel stuck and often disconnected from support. Systems of oppression have a negative impact on your life and you strive to find your power despite this. You deserve a life of living your truth, unapologetically and with meaningful connection. I’m here to help you get there.
* My Focus *
I specialize in helping folks explore a deeper understanding of themselves to build strengths and overcome challenges. I work with folks around trauma healing, gender and sexual identity exploration, developing healthy conflict and attachment styles, combating addiction, and building sincere connection to self and others.
* My Approach *
My therapeutic approach is grounded in liberation psychology, feminist theory, and systems theory. I provide space for clients to explore ways to build their strengths and better understand how to overcome their challenges. I utilize trauma-focused CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness.
* My Philosophy on Therapy *
I center my practice around queer theory, feminist theory and critical race theory. I always aim to recognize any power dynamic in a therapeutic alliance and work towards cultivating a space that is egalitarian. Finding balance and stability through struggle is a primary focus of mine in my work with clients. Therapy is helping clients better understand their unique emotional responses to stressors, developing skills to overcome challenges, and strengthening their inner voice. With that I believe in the ability for transformative growth.
