* Welcome *

We all have an innate ability to evolve and heal, especially in supportive communities, empowering us to live our most genuine and fulfilling lives. Sometimes difficult life experiences and oppressive social structures cause us to disconnect from this inner healer, and may result in us feeling afraid, doubtful, exhausted, and isolated in our pain. Your version of the human experience is incredibly valuable, and you deserve support that honors who you've been, your present being, and your process of becoming.

* My Focus *

I am passionate about serving BIPOC & LGBTQIA+ folks navigating grief/loss, relationships, immigration/acculturation stress, childhood trauma, and identity exploration. I focus on creating a space that allows for authenticity & freedom to face challenges & embrace pleasure in existing. I offer preparation & integration of transpersonal/psychedelic experiences, particularly through Ketamine Assisted Therapy.

* My Approach *

My therapeutic approach is grounded in the systems lens; exploring the systems that exist within you, and also the contexts in which you exist. With that in mind, I draw from a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches, such as DBT, somatic, narrative, and attachment-based therapies. I find value in using the mind and body connection as a resource for building self-trust. Our work together will be an insight-oriented process, to help you work through past or current issues and make empowered, well-informed decisions in the present and about the future.

* My Philosophy on Therapy *

Curiosity, connection and decolonization are central to my practice. I lean on existing strengths to determine an approach best suited to clients’ needs, and this is entirely collaborative. I prioritize engendering an affirming and restorative therapeutic relationship, as I believe it serves as a vessel for unbridled exploration to unfold. Ruptures happen, and if we can work through the discomfort of conflict, we get to experience the depth and mutual trust repair can bring.

* Credentials & EXPERIENCE *

  • LPC in Illinois, Ketamine Assisted Therapy Provider

  • MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Adler University

      Before Practical Audacity, I worked in private practice, in collaboration with a Ketamine clinic, to provide drug assisted therapy for  individuals who have exhausted other forms of treatment for depression, substance use, complex trauma and chronic fatigue. I also have experience providing therapy in a community mental health setting, primarily in middle and highschools on the West and Southside of Chicago, as well as supporting and advocating for LGBTQ+ youth from a systems lens.

* MORE ABOUT ME *

I have lived experiences as a queer, first-generation African immigrant and an ex-church kid rediscovering spirituality. I enjoy reading poetry, dissecting the cinematography and themes in horror and psychological thrillers, dancing bachata, and cuddling with my cat, Frankie. Welcome :)
