* Welcome *
There are many times in our lives when we need to be heard, accepted, and supported. In those moments, feeling vulnerable and safe enough to express our lived experiences without fear of judgment or ridicule is vital.
* My Focus *
As a clinician, my goal is to affirm and support you through hearing your concerns, challenging negative internal dialogues, and providing a space to process your thoughts and concerns through this journey. I intend to aid you in navigating the obstacles and provide you with tangible tools to implement in your life for ongoing support. You deserve to be supported, heard, and seen for all the unique parts of who make you who you are.
* My Approach *
My therapeutic approach is a blend of Person-Centered Therapy and Trauma Informed- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. This lens gives me a unique perspective in treatment. I work with my clients to identify places where negative beliefs, ways of thinking, and patterns of behavior are keeping them from being the person they want to be in the world. I also pay special attention to the role that systemic trauma and traumatic life experiences uniquely impact the way you show up in the world.
* My Philosophy on Therapy *
I strongly believe that you are the expert in all areas of your life. I also believe that there are times where life throws you curveballs (or hurtles them) and tools are needed to navigate that. I am committed to creating a safe place for you to express yourself and be heard. To help you tap into all the strengths, value, and worth that you possess. I firmly believe that in therapeutic spaces your experiences culturally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically shape how the world is perceived and experienced by you. Therapy is the space in which you can bring those messy, raw, or uncomfortable questions and work through them with a guide that seeks to understand.
